SHAtter exploit leaked

Comex admitted that SHAtter exploit has been leaked online on pastie for a coupe of minutes and some people kept a copy.

Once again there is a little bit of drama in the Jailbreak scene and this time its news worthy as it may affect thousands of jailbreak users.
iHaz3 a Dutch developer who has the SHAtter Jailbreak source code threatened to release it when his site was brought down by a DDOS attack.
iPhone developer behind Sn0wbreeze, iH8sn0w and some other tools had the code an apparently gave it to iHaz3 who’s not related to any dev teams.
Now iHaz3 threatens to reveal the source of the faulty Shatter because its host (the server which hosts iHaz3 particular website) would have been the victim of an organized attack by iH8sn0w and other members of the Chronic Dev Team.

I think if this guy spent as much time actively looking for a date he would do much better in life than rattling his sabre over techy nonsense.
 
Ridiculous. A lot of work wasted for completely nothing because some guy with an ego wanted to cry about his site being shut down.
 
I never liked iH8sn0w. He takes things that aren't his, shares things he shouldn't, and makes buggy software. I hope the Dev-Team excommunicates him.
 
I'm genuinely asking this - not just trying to sound patronising; are the majority of these 'big names' in the Jailbreak community just teenagers? It's impressive if they are, I must say.

I think comex is the youngest at 18 (?).
 
Dev-Team members are not punk kids. the Dev-team really doesn't like drama. unfortunately Dev-team can't really excommunicate ih8sn0w since he is not a member he sure is a drama maker. him and Chpwn alone. I don't think they share much with him either. if anything kills jailbreaking it will be this crap not Apple. :mad: 15 years drama! this just sucks.

SHAtter has nothing to do with tethered jailbreak or unlock.

It is an exploit that they were trying to save for later devices since limera1n exploit is a hardware exploit that will work for all current idevices.
 
Adjust your clear type bro. And I'm sure who ever got a hold of the code on pastie won't even know how to use it.

Amen. iH8sn0w is a code thief, copy-left violator, and generally just a brat. The scene would be far better off without him.
 
Yeah I saw that yesterday, the IRC were fire red with all that. That is the downside of the JB community being so young, they are very talented but most of them cannot handel their 15min of fame :(

Some channel are invite only, but you can make your way around easily if you start participating often.

They fear that the exploit will be burned. Not that someone will use it......

If the code is leaked:

-Apple might get it
-Apple will patch it
-Dev team spent a lot of time working on this exploit = total waste of time if its burned.

And no I'm not 10 years old. I'm simply stating that anyone who might have seen it had no idea that it was the exploit.

SHAtter is not even being use, it was being save for when Apple release a hardware revision and patch the current bootrom exploit. Depending on how far this leak actually reached, it may have been lost forever. Chances are it didn't get too far.
