It is absolutely $29 from the Genius Bar. This is a brand new thing they're doing, I got it done there. They had to order in the part, but they can now just replace the back glass, instead of the whole phone for $199.

Sorry to be ignorant, but is the front glass of higher quality than the back? It was my understanding (from the keynote video) that both sides use the same glass, however I hear that most instances of breaks involve the rear glass.

if that is true thats awesome. i called them after it happened and they told me $199, but ill try to go to an apple store and see what happens. Thanks!
