Shaving old dock for iPhone 3G

You've spent all that money on your phones and are bodging these docks, frankly they look awful.. why not just sell your old ones and spend a small amount on the new dock?

Some of us are forced to. I'm looking into doing it myself for a very simple reason.

There is no 3G iPhone compatible dock that also charges the Apple Bluetooth Headset (meh.. I like it better than the jawbone as it doesn't go around my ear. It sounds perfectly fine in my ear anyway) so I have to do some plastic hackery to get the new phone to fit properly.

If I could buy a new dock then I'd be ready to buy one, but no such luck.

I charge my phone in my kitchen with my bluetooth headset in the dual dock that came with the apple headset. I never use the other dock which sits at the computer and don't mind connecting by the cable for the few times I sync. But I feel I have to shave down the dual dock if I get an iPhone 3G b/c that is where I always charge it, and they do not have a new dual dock yet for the 3G and headset. Currently if you buy the iPhone 3G and a new headset, you get the old dual dock.
