Shazam songs playing on iPhone

Does anyone know of anyway to Shazam songs that are playing from your iPhone?

For example - I listen to mixes on Soundcloud, often I want to find out the name of a song however Shazam stops the audio when it starts "listening".

Not quite getting Shazam to do it, but, as a possible alternative perhaps, have you tried another app that might be able to do it, like SoundHound or something similar?

Unfortunately Soundcloud isnt very good at detecting electronic music. Shazam paired up with Beatport so it works nearly every time.

im not sure you can - usually the electronic music wont pick up even on Skype for example. might just be easiest to play the same soundcloud file once you are on a computer
