Shell commands whch support in iphone development

hey any1 der...:apple:

i hav a problem using system() command to launch an application while m developing a code for iphone...🙁
i hav tried using d foll.

😕 int result=system("open /Applications/TextEdit.app"); 😕

bt this dint workd...

PLEASE any1 der can give me some help using d same command or any other alternative..

OR provide with some shell commands tht wld work in iphone dev....

PLEASE AS SOON AS POSSIBLE..
