I really like this band, and may be the reason I scrounge for loose change to get a steel watch.
But looking at they this and the way it was put on, makes it look bad to me. Sticks out a lot on the one side that loops back.
I'm thinking if the double back loop was on the inside, as typically shown, it would look a lot better.

Think it's just a case of the wrong size being put ins small wrist

Question is why Apple didn't made it impossible to put the strap on the wrong way? It's a pretty simple problem to solve...

Why should they? Left-handed individuals would wear the Watch on their right hand with the Milanese Loop attached exactly as shown in the OP, but upside down.

im sure looking at lots of photos the loop folds flatter when it bends the other way.

Milanese loop wrap-around top or bottom?

Okay, this may be my OCD kicking in, but I noticed something the other day while obsessively watching hands-on videos on YouTube from the Apple event earlier in the week.

Some of the watches had a Milanese loop where the part that "loops around" is at the top of the watch. However, on the Apple website, it shows the loop-around part at the bottom of the watch. Did they re-design this band at some point, or can you attach it either way?

Also, does anyone feel like the "bulge" created by that wrap-around loop (on either the top or the bottom) will make it look weird/asymmetric? It really seemed to stick out on some of the videos I watched.

I hope I'm wrong, because it's a really cool band... :apple::apple:

It can attach either way, but the way shown in the hands-on videos is incorrect. What you see on the Apple site is the correct way to wear it. :)

Has anyone else noticed the European spelling of the words? "Colour" "Customise" That's interesting.

Colour is actually probably the most common spelling of Color given Canada, the UK, Australia and other places use it. I don't know about Customise but if you haven't seen that before, I'm a bit surprised.

Do you think it looks stupid because the band is on backwards, or do you think it'll bulge like that even when it's on correctly?

I'm Australian so I know about the spelling :D Just thought it odd because it's an American product and company.

Milanese loop was my goto band but the more videos of it I see online the more I'm leaning toward the classic buckle. The Milanese loop just doesn't look right to me in videos like it's not meant for that watch.

I'm also being swayed from the loop, and now I'm just thinking about going for the link bracelet.

Link I would have done in a heartbeat except that:

1. its too expensive.
2. has this grandfather's wrist watch look to it.

my omega band looks more modern than that thing.

I like it. It kind of has a 60s NASA retro/future look going on, which I think looks good with the square watch body. I actually think I might like the look of it better than my Omega's bracelet. Go figure!

If they attached it at the "top", it means it's to be worn upside down on the right wrist (for left handed individuals) so it'll be at the bottom.

People trying it on just didn't know any better and worn it incorrectly.

If Retro is your thing go for it by all means :)

I'll probably just pre-order the steel on a black rubber band, and, then once the smoke clears a bit, I'll go into a store and see what the other bands are like.
