velocityg4 macrumors 604 Dec 19, 2004 7,345 4,735 Georgia Apr 17, 2021 #2 It's got some sort of fine coating which corrodes away. I tried polishing mine. It looked a little better. As far as could tell. It's a different metal underneath. As it's much darker and wouldn't brighten.
