I'd have to see it in person. Cameras can do a lot of weird things to the shade of colors especially if it's two different materials on the surface (glass vs plastic).

The button does have a slightly different shade of blue to it. It's not that noticeable in the light though. I think just the angle of the picture shows the contrast more.

I just wanted something different than the black or white that everyone has. I have had several positive comments from people that have seen it out in public. They take a double take & are like where in the world did you get that at. I have to show off Siri before they will believe it's an iPhone 4s. :D

The company I bought this from is also taking preorders on their newly released black aluminum frames. They look pretty sweet in the pictures.

How do you put it on? is it something like a sticker or a screen protector, how thick it is? and does it protect against scratches?

This mod is actually far more advanced and requires physical removal of your stock parts (taking apart the whole iPhone) and installing the colored parts. It does not protect against scratches since the material is actually glass but the paint is laid underneath just like your stock parts.

So does it replace the stock glass on iphone or is something like a colored transparent plastic that you put on the underside of stock glass. And how easy is it to take apart iphone and put it back together in proper condition?

Here is a link to a tear down of an iPhone 4 http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Installing-iPhone-4-Display-Assembly/3148/1. You can also find the 4S guides there as well, very useful website.

Its actually the whole front and back glass assembly so you would have to take apart the iPhone, remove the stock parts, and install the new parts. It can be hard but if you follow the guide, you should not have an issue.

I apologize for not putting this in the proper format I guess. I was just trying to help out the forum community.

In the future I will not hyperlink a link to a site I purchased my conversion kit from.

Ok, so the video shows that it actually replaces the whole front glass panel. Is it made from the same glass and material as used by Apple? and how durable it is. It does look cool...

A girl-friend recently bought a pink one on Amazon. At first I was skeptical about these conversion kits, but hers actually didn't look so bad. It seems to me like the ones on Amazon are a bit cheaper than the ones offered on that site. I'm not sure how the quality would compare, though.

Here's the link to the pink one she bought at Amazon. I think they have all the different colors as well.

That black midframe actually looks really sick!

It is still glass, not the same glass as Apple produces but glass none the less. For durability, it all depends on the grade of class that is provided by the supplier. I can safely say that it is not as durable but not so brittle either, i have had dropped mine plenty of times without breaking it but some report that from a foot drop the glass can break. Again same stories have been told about the original glass breaking from a foot drop as well. So to say the least, you should be very careful with glass phones whether the glass is original from Apple or aftermarket.

To the OP: disregard the negative comments. You wanted a different look and took the time, effort and money to make it happen. Good on ya. And I don't think it looks like a cheap knock-off.

Here's to the crazy ones....

Agreed, it does not look cheap at all. I got one 3 weeks ago and it looks exactly like in the video, and I am very happy with it, Out of all the available colors the Shiny Blue is by far my favorite. I got mine for $99.00 and love it!
