ship-to-store option (temporarily) unavailable?

While prepping for an online Black Friday purchase from the Apple Store at Apple.com, I noticed that ship-to-store is no longer an option. Also, the check-store-availability feature seems to no longer be available. This wasn't the case a day or two ago.

Is this a typical Apple Black Friday (and maybe throughout the remaining Xmas shopping season) practice?

I think ship to store such a new service that, we can't say its a typical practice.

I will say given the craziness that ensues during black friday its probably not unexpected.

seaturtle.org's iDevice Availability Notifier, which probably relies on the Apple Store's check-store-availability feature, seems to no longer be working.
