Shipping address recommendations?

I just looked at my account on my iPad and I noticed that the shipping address info is currently blank and it seems to default to my local Apple Store as the shipping address.

In a way, having the iPhone X go to the local Apple Store might be good because I don’t know whether I’ll be home and I’ll probably end up having to drive over to UPS, etc., otherwise to pick it up anyway.

To minimize problems, should I enter a shipping address and do you recommend that it should be the same as my billing address even if no one may be home during delivery?

I would definitely put a shipping address in there.

If I'm not going to be home during the delivery period (for instance, visiting my girlfriend in Utah), I'll call my credit union and ask them to change my billing address temporarily to her address. They never have a problem with doing that.

A few years ago, I even got the delivery address changed mid-shipment. The phone was sitting in Louisville, KY and I had it pulled and relabeled. I think I was pretty lucky in that case and would not recommend trying it. 😀
