Shipping.....ARRRGGHHHH

So...I have been patiently awaiting my Macbook Pro's arrival.......

I just got a shipping notification saying it is coming from China then it says package received after Fed Ex cutoff...does that mean it is going to be sitting in China all day long? Why would their cut off be 3:44p.m.?? And it says Picked Up....so I guess it is still not sitting at Apple right?

they always say that....don't worry about it. i remember checking the fedex site daily. it'll drive you crazy.

Judging from all the unhappy faces on those forums recently, China's been feeding their birds some toxic stuff or Apple's assemblers are high on something... Something in the air perhaps? :rolleyes: Never in my life have I've seen and heard so many users complain about the state of their machines... Let's hope everyone here get's theirs in one piece and fully working without glitches. :):)
 
I ordered mine this morning so it has not shipped yet, but I do expect the wait to be painful.

Hopefully my Tucano sleeve will arrive before or at the same time so that I can start carrying around my MBP with me as soon as I get it.
 
Interesting. I've also ordered high resolution glossy. My package was picked up at the same time and it is stuck in China, too. I've got 2-3 day shipping and I'm quite optimistic that I'll receive it Monday.

Make room on Monday. It's probably going to arrive then if you have a good Fed Ex guy working your route.

I've had two MBP delivered in that time frame and I'm on the East Coast.

Pity neither was up to standard, but at least they fly quickly.
 
this thread reminded me of my 2 months of waiting for my sr mbp....
is was SO annoying! :mad:
but now i'm happy :D
 
My experience in the past is that the units would ship out from China and be at my doorstep in New York in 2 to 3 days, and maybe a day or two longer due to customs.
 
Ive been pulling my hair out with Fed ex shipping lately. Two weeks ago with my Mini and now my MBP. Missed them today so I guess Ill have to wait till Mon and hope Im home then (like Im going to take a day off work to receive a package). I wanted my MBP today SOooo bad. I feel like its being held hostage.

well they could be using an African swallow rather than the European ones by which rate I would assume a week and a half a best. Either way best of luck to you and your MBP. I can't wait to get mine either!
 
Called Fed Ex

I called Fed Ex on Friday and asked why that time would have been the cutoff time...and she said it's not..that the cut off time is actually 10pm so technically the package should have I guess "left origin" for us. I am hoping it gets out of china on Monday when I wake up and it is 8pm china time it will have already gotten out of there and headed here. I think it will probably be here on Tuesday. Monday seems too soon since it is still sitting in China :( but hey...if wishing it is here Monday gets it here sooner then I am all for it. :)

This time period sucks because you know it is coming, but you are just like.. man...where did all my money go and why do I have nothing to show for it yet!! haha

I ordered mine last saturday, and got it last night!
it started in Shanghai, then to Anchorage, to Indianapolis, to Memphis, then delivered!

Mine is in ANCHORAGE, AK. I'm hoping for Monday even though Fedex says Wednesday Morning.

I hear that, I just ordered a 2.5ghz hi res 17' model as well on friday and I will receive it tomarrow (monday) =D I see it on my fedex tracking that its here in my city at the fedex sorting facility... I wish I can just go over there and pick it up myself!! CANT WAIT!!!!
 
I think once from fedex it wasnt updated until the working day so dont sweat it, its probably because its the weekends. :D especially easter, happy easter!!
 
Try tracking it at simpletracking.com. They usually have more detailed information about what is going on with your package.
 
I ordered my mac on the 12th and it was shipped on the 15th, but it's still stuck in Ontario this is so frustrating

My MBP seems to have made an unexpected [to me] stop at Tokyo Nariata. I remember the iMac going from Shanghai to Anchorage. I've been all OCD about watching its movement since ordering last Thursday. Anybody else seen their shipment go to Japan? It's ultimate destination is Colorado.
