iPhone 15 Pro Shipping early?

Question...placed an preorder for the iPhone 15 Pro, was given a shipping date of Oct 2nd. Today my card was charged and my order status changed from processing to preparing to ship. Does this mean that I might get it early or is this normal for that ship date?

You'll get it earlier than 10/2/23 for sure. Apple tends to under promise over deliver so likely next week or so.
