Well, I'm ready to order my first Macintosh. But I'll be on vacation all of next week, so I'm concerned when my new MacbookPro will ship. I doubt I'd get it by the end of this week, but is it possible to delay one's order until a specific date? I don't want my new $2000 laptop sitting outside the door for a week in plain site. 🙁

You should cancel and just order it during your vacation. Calling the 800 number is easy and then you can have it there when you get home. I don't think they will delay. I thought mine would ship in the 5-7days it said on the website, but was on the dock out for delivery same day I ordered. Its a crap shoot.
