Shipping my 27inch Imac

Does anyone know what Fedex rates are to ship 27inch Imac from Florida to NYC?

I plan on packing it in its orginal box which has that odd shape but then putting it inside a bigger box for further protection. Anyone know which size box would be appropriate for that Outer box?

This is new to me but I want to make sure it's protected when it arrives in nyc.

If you have an Apple Store near you, see if they will give you a scrap cardboard box. They have to trash / recycle them everyday from their back of house. Call in advance (to prevent a wasted trip) unless you live close to one. I know they use FedEx pretty heavily for their internal shipments, but do not think you could find that box at a retail shop.

Alternatively if you have a bicycle shop nearby, ask them for an empty bike box (since they recycle them anyway) and cut it down to the size you require using a Stanley knife. Re-seal it using heavy duty duct tape. I do this for larger items I sell on eBay and it works perfectly.
