I was a little late to order my new AirPods and got an estimated pickup date of April 15.

The status shows shipped and I am wondering if I can expect to pick them up earlier?

Pretty likely, they seem to have been very pessimistic on shipping dates.

You say Shipped, so did they provide you a tracking number? You also mentioned pick up so which is it?

You might want to just pop in now and see if you can get a pair off the shelf. If so, you can just return the pair they’re shipping.

I could probably get a pair in one of the Orlando stores but decided to get engraving this time.

Well, the updated date was pushed up to April 4th, knocking off 11 days from the original date of pickup at Apple store, which I am happy about.

Seems like maybe like many recent product launches, the small upgrades and overestimated demand is the new norm and preordering will become like lining up outside the store; obsolete.
