Shipping To Store-Tracking Number?

I've never done an in store pickup. Does Apple eventually send the buyer a tracking number. All I see is a notice that they will let me know when it is available for pickup. I really would like to see a tracking number.

You won't get a tracking number, just a notice when its ready for pickup.

Too bad. I like watching the progress. And I'm hoping it isn't just going to sit in the storeroom until they get around to letting me know 😉

It's weird, I noticed that if you do in-store pickup then Apple gives you the latest date that the shipping estimate gives you. I guess they are just being safe.
