status: NOT YET SHIPPED.

It's been 3 weeks since I ordered this thing. The money has been returned to my account, so no sign that the phone will be shipped today.

It's not even going anywhere exciting. I live near Philadelphia.

People who ordered after me ALREADY GOT THE DEVICE or will get it shortly. This is BS.

im in the same spot..... I also ordered mine on the 30th in the store and I am still waiting for it :mad:
 
Mine wound up shipping last night but it didn't notify me until this morning and it is now in Lantau Island HK with expected delivery of July 27th. The weird thing is that the other day Apple put all of my money back into my bank account and they still haven't taken it out yet even though it has been shipped. I don't even have any of the pending charges. When do they take it out for good?
 
okay so I called apple and the machine/person told me there was a hold on my account so the phone didn't ship and I needed to call AT&T.

So, I called AT&T and they said there was nothing wrong with my order/account and transferred me to apple. The woman from apple told me that there was no hold and my phone shipped today, but my order status says not shipped....

So basically now I'm just hoping my order status gets updated sometime soon and gives me a tracking number because right now it still says not shipped...
 
Mine says prepared for shipment, money is out on my cc, and I don't get any info on shipping. Go figure...
 
Has anyone experienced receiving the phone without any shipment communication from Apple? :confused:

So, I called Apple yesterday wondering why my phone has not shipped yet. Basically, they said I had a problem with AT&T failing to greenlight it. They said AT&T interfered due to a payment issue. (Apparently my payment for this month was 3 days late). As you can guess, it is due the 15th. Apparently when it was PFS (the 16th) AT&T said no since my balance was unpaid. The rep said Apple then checks back with AT&T every day and ships when AT&T says it's ok. I can confirm that as of the 19th my balance was paid and AT&T should be green lighting it on either the 20th, 21st or 22nd.

Then the Apple rep says, well, maybe AT&T is still not green lighting it, and I hear the worst noise ever. The Apple reps is looking at my info and goes, "Oh."

I say "what?"

He says that for some reason, Apple has not checked my status since the 17th. He says it should run daily. So he apologized, said they would run it soon, and upgraded me to free 2-day shipping.

I guess that's cool, except I waited so long for the phone to ship in the first place that the fact my bill was paid late halting the device I paid for WEEKS prior is kinda lame. The phone should be here by now.

Oh well, it will be in sometime next week I guess. I just thought I would share.
 
Yay! Arrived in Alaska. Jeepers, took 38 hours to go from HK to AK.

Nope, just standard delivery.

Edit - phone just arrived 30 minutes ago.
It's a week 29 model, so since the shipping info went to FedEx Monday the 19th, it's final assembly must have been that same day.
No yellow screen, touching the "spot" doesn't appear to do anything, but the "grip" can kill the signal. (We're in a low signal strength area. My original iPhone shows about -85 to -95 dBm signal strength, and I can usually kill its signal with the "grip" as well.) Haven't played with the proximity sensor yet. Fluorescent light white balance is a tad off, using one of our CFL bulbs, but still only barely noticeable.
 
My phone is in Lantau Island the last 48 hours with no movement whatsoever, it says it delivers it by the 28th. I also have received an e-mail from AT&T saying that my account was created and to login there. To mu surprise I was already being billed for a phone that I not even have received. I called them, and they made it right.
 
So, that iPhone I ordered on June 30th is still "Not Yet Shipped".

I have called both Apple and AT&T. About to call Apple again. I am so tired of this. I know people who ordered it on the 22nd of JULY and GOT IT ALREADY from AT&T. The problem is that Apple keeps assuring me that it will ship in 24-48 hours, so I worry if I cancel it now that I might delay getting the device even further.

I am a guy who has a MacBook Pro, an iPhone and some iPods and have always been pretty satisfied with my Apple purchases until now. This is beyond ridiculous.

I guess I should start going to my local Apple and AT&T store and hope I can find one, then promptly cancel my Apple.com order. Doubt I get that lucky though.

If makes you feel better, I ordered on 07/07 and received on 07/26. That should give you an idea on when to expect your phone.
 
So (yesterday) after being "not yet shipped" for a month and after calling Apple 3 times, they said there was an error in their system that they could not fix, and that I should cancel the order and buy it at AT&T.com.

Seriously. I ordered on June 30th and they told me to cancel the order. They did say "sorry" though.

Luckily, I went to the local Apple store and bought a 32GB with no issue, as they had plenty of stock. I'm kinda shocked Apple.com failed SO HARD. I mean, I STILL bought the phone with Apple, and they had no problem processing the order in person, but flat out told me they couldnt process the online order. I even talked to an engineer who works with their ordering department. Insane.

At least I have it now. Ordered a case already. It ships in October. That's right. OCTOBER.
