Hey, I’ve had my series 7 since launch But only this last week i started taking it out on walks without my phone. I’m streaming the radio and tracking my workout, and the odd text message. The walk is just over 50 mins and in that time my watch will go down from 90% to 20% !
Does this seem normal? Battery health is saying 86% max capacity

Yeah its going to lose a pretty large chunk of the battery, especially at the level of health your battery is at.

Still surprising to me, the thing would be useless without the phone then. The battery actually ran down from the 20% to 5% in about 20 mins of doing nothing when i got home and reconnected the phone🤷🏼‍♂️

Streaming is the worst you can do. Try listen to something local on your watch. Playing music via Bluetooth is still demanding, not only for Apple watch but also Garmin, but it is lot less demanding than streaming over LTE.

First thing I did on my Series 7 years ago was dump some of my fave albums on it...

If it wasn't for taking photos i would go totally cellular and not take out my iPhone at all....

Also, cellular battery life is pretty high dependent on signal strength in my experience.

So at 100% you’re really at 86% so it all makes sense. Cellular kills the battery. That’s why I got the Ultra. Basically can do a full day using cellular or 3 days mixed use.

Sounds normal to me. You use your watch features a lot and the battery will show it.

My launch day SBTi series 7 still shows 100% battery capacity but I do not stream music or cellular.

My S7 battery health seems to have collapsed from 95% to 86% in the last 3 months. Showing 278 charge cycles. Does this seem normal?
