I have a late 2010 core i7 macbook pro.
It seems that it burns through battery pretty fast while in sleep mode.
Last night I took it off the charger at 4pm. This morning at 7am it was at 79%.
21% in one night seems terrible for sleep mode.
Thats unusual. It would usually drain about 1% per hour.. whats your cycle?

15 hours is a pretty long night, isn't it?
21 % drain after 15 hours is about 1 % per hour (exactly 1,4 %).
So this is to be expected?

It's consuming a bit more power than normal during sleep, but not significantly so. Around 1% per hour of sleep is normal, and you're at 1.4%. You might try resetting the SMC. Instructions are in the Battery FAQ I posted, under CHARGING.Nope, zipped up in a bag. It's kinda been an ongoing thing. I'm usually pretty surprised at how low it is.

Just for reference: My machine has used 8 % since I put it to sleep yesterday - that was 10 hours ago.
