Shortcuts and google assistant / home

Hey all.

I am wired up with Google assistants and I don’t foresee changing to home pod.

Will the shortcut feature allow more integration with Google assistant?

At this point, I don't see it. Its possible Google will rewrite the app to donate app intents, but you'll still need to invoke Siri to do this and that seems, er, duplicative.

That’s a bummer. Google assistant supports many more devices vs Siri home but without direct interaction with iOS , there will always be a gap missing. 🙁

If Google decides to add Sir Shortcuts support to their app, yes. Apple likely won't block them from doing so, but I am not sure Google would make the move.
