There's something scummy about Apple going to these lengths to enable cheaters to be able to hide their indiscretions better. I doubt this is an intended by-product of privacy/security features; but still leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

The shocking part of the article to me is no police action was taken and that they were allowed back on a plane later that night. Diverting a plane costs the airline thousands of $$$ you'd think some action would have been taken.

So you blame Apple for the person doing the act? Lol. Love how people never want to take responsibility. Apple is just a tool for them. That is all.

If you have a bad taste in your mouth, may I recommend some Listerine?

I gave my woman the pin to my iPhone X. I have nothing to hide from her. Cheaters are just selfish people, with no regard of how they hurt others. Borderline sociopaths.

So are people that feel the need to have access to and check another persons phone. If you can't trust someone, what's the point?

My 7 Plus has my wife’s fingerprint as well. She also knows the passcode. I know her passcode as i can’t unlock her iPhone X with faceid lol

Me and my wife can unlock each others phones as we have nothing to hide.
I just read the article and it made me laugh and think about FaceID so thought I'd share it with you guys :)

Amen! This how my husband and I are too. Sometimes it just comes in handy to know how to look at our phones for some reason or another.

My wife and I can unlock each others phones with our fingerprints (and we know our passcodes). We also know each others apple ID passwords for "Find my iPhone" use. I have zero to hide and in case of an emergency situation, I want to be able to use/track her phone and vice-versa.

The point is, if such a desire to check someone else's phone occurs then that person probably feels something shady is being hidden from them or they have been cheated on in the past and something triggered those feelings. My girl has never checked my phone, but she also has the piece of mind that she can use my phone and not dread seeing anything that would trigger any feelings of mistrust.

This here folks is the real reason why FaceID was implemented and only one face can be stored. Just imagine how many of these stories never made it to the press, but complaints came in to Apple from cheaters around the globe about the “lack of security” with TouchID... Damn cheaters.

Glad she caught him, but yeah, you can’t get crazy on flights these days... seems only airline staff and security are allowed to hand out any beatings aboard planes.

Never checked your phone, that you know of. I guarantee she's checked your phone. You just don't know it.

Yeah anyone who locks their front door is a criminal.

How to scam your spouse:
  • Make sure you each have an iPhone X
  • Get a very recognizable case for your X
  • Enable face IDs to give spouse a false sense of security
  • While spouse isn't looking take their X and put inside your case
  • Say "honey look at this"
  • When they look at their own phone, it will unlock
  • Quickly turn phone away and say "oh wait, never mind, stupid me"
  • Walk away and swipe up, unlock accomplished
