So I concluded that the only way I could happily come to a solid conclusion was to try both models. ... And I kept...... The Space Black![]()

150% worth it. I don't look back on my decision to not get the space gray.
Space Black stainless steel is the best looking watch ever! Until someone thinks you have the apple watch sport because you wear it with the green sports band haha
I went back and forth like you because I didn't see the value in spending almost 3 times as much! But trust me! It is sooooooooooo worth it!
Which one did you end up keeping? I don't think I saw you post about which one you kept. @iConnected
Heaven forfend that some might not realize quite how much money you spent! That must be terribly painful.Space Black stainless steel is the best looking watch ever! Until someone thinks you have the apple watch sport because you wear it with the green sports band haha
Your Space Black + green band combo looks great, btw. Might well add an extra band or two myself. I'm thinking that the red (coming soon, hopefully) could also be a good addition.

Awesome, that's good to know. There's some good deals here and there for the SBSS which makes it worth the buy even if there's a refresh in July or September but I was going to wait to see if there would be any AW2 announcements at WWDC before paying retail for the Link band (though I'm hoping AW2 is compatible with all the straps/bands from AW1, but that's a whole different thread). I might go with the milanese loop, thanks!Still loving my SB. The link strap has collected a couple of very faint scratches, which bothered me for a week or so then it got over it.
But I recently bought the SB Milanese Loop and I think that is even better than the link. It's lighter, snug yet comfortable and that means you get better transmission of Taptic alerts than with the link. It would be my first choice as a strap, now.
Just curious: About 9months later, do you wish you had bailed after all? Or are you still happy?
How have they been holding up? The link bracelet (if you received it) still look new?
I am seriously planning on getting the space black stainless steel (they are down enough in price...perhaps for the potential AW2?), but I would only get it if I got the link bracelet as well. I'm just afraid that 1. it will get scratches within a few short months and 2. it would bother me enough that I would have buyer's remorse.
Still not regretting your purchase? Would you recommend the SBSS to others honestly?
Not being able the quickly change the size of the link bracelet is my only complaint, glad I moved to the leather loop.
