I love running tech. I am really not into anything else hobby wise and if you could call running a hobby.... I love the gadgets that come out for me to use while I run. The new watches ALWAYS get me excited. I tried out the epix loved it but didnt think the value was there compared to the fenix 7x. Now the Ultra which I really have no need for but love it as well. I love the pods, the apps, everything. Fortunately I am able to afford these gadgets but that is subjective as the money would be better off invested or making some sort of return on it however the new tech always gets me! Someone please share your purchasing misery with me...

I find that if I am selective about what I buy, I enjoy it more, even though I can afford more.

Having too many gadgets (or anything) just seems to diminish the enjoyment and value of each of them, and the enjoyment is short-lived until the next gadget comes along. IMO.

This is so true.

‘Buy it if you have the money and return it if it does not serve your needs. I returned mine. It was just a bit bigger than I wanted to put up with so . . . .

I hear you, I love my fitness gadgets too and am fortunate to be able to afford them...but in the last couple of months I've bought and returned 2 Epix (1 reg 1 sapphire) and 2 Ultras. Just not enough "value" argument for me to enjoy either of them (especially the Epix) guilt-free! Am back to my AW7 on one side and a new Forerunner 955.

I’m with ya! If I had a AW7 I wouldn’t be looking at the ultra 😆 but since I don’t that’s where the issue lies… definitely love the 955
