Hey everyone,
I have an Apple Watch 6, and I am having trouble getting mail notifications on cellular only. The watch is paired with an iPhone X. All updates installed. Notification work when paired to the phone, but if I go on a run and leave my phone at home, I don't get any mail notifications through until I return home and the watch repairs with the phone again. If I go to the mail app while on my run, I can see my new emails, but I don’t get any notification, red dot, or haptics of them arriving. Notification and haptics are set as on for both my Apple Watch and IPhone. Is this normal? I can’t find anything about it online. I’m wondering whether I should be getting notifications for emails on cellular when the phone is on but not present? Or if this is a feature only when paired? All other notifications (SMS, iMessage) seem to be delivered. Thanks so much!

You definitely should be getting them. Apple only requirement is that your iPhone stays on even when its out of reach. Check your Mail notification settings in the Watch app on your iPhone and also check iPhone Mail notification settings.

Check Workout Do Not Disturb setting in WatchApp->General->DoNotDisturb on the phone.

I think the default setting is on - so the watch turns on DND when starting a workout and turns it off when you finish.
