    Have a chance to buy an almost new Canon SX1 for $399. Camera is 3 year old technology, but tests well with the few samples I got to take with it. 10 mpix, 20x optical zoom, 1080 HD video with two mikes, sized between a point and shoot and a small DSLR, takes 4 AA batteries (both a plus and a minus). Currently have a Canon 450 DSLR and a Pany ZS6. Don't need it, but you know how it is sometimes. Opinions and/or experience of/with this camera?

    Hi,

    Not really on topic I guess but worth repeating....

    A friend of mine collects bicycles. He's an impressive collection of them. He bought 4 at once from a junk shop near me, returned home with them all in the van and then started, in the garage, to strip them down and restore them. At this point wife enters and starts to complain...

    "Why on earth have you got so many &%($%$£ bikes in here?"

    The reply...

    "Why on earth have you go so many &%($%$£ shoes and dresses in there?"
    {pointing to the house}

    At this point wife enquired what friend would like for dinner!!!

    If you can afford and want the camera - buy it.

    Just my 2 penneth

    Regards.

    Z
