I want to buy an iphone 5 , its a nice phone and I love the design . Especially the black color . I dont care about IOS updates for it. I will problably wont update to IOS 9 . I will stay in IOS 6.1.3

If you can find one and don't really care about the security risks and that most newer apps don't work on it any more then sure. On the plus side what does work will run MUCH MUCH smoother than 7, 8 or 9.

The phone is great. Looks great in its stealth black and all. However you're gonna be at great risks with not being on newer updates. Also you won't be able to download newer apps that require iOS 7 or newer.

Other then That the phone is wonderful. Can I ask why not an iPhone SE in space grey?

I have been looking for a slate iP5 on iOS 6 for a while. Would love to get one w/out paying out the wazoo for it. I'm a collector (not on a serious scale, just want every iPhone to display and play around with). I loved the slate color of the iP5 and the way it would wear with use was a bit artistic in itself.

It's going to be very hard to find one, at least an affordable one. But I say if you can find one go for it! I've been looking for one for ages and couldn't find it.

The biggest concern you should have in my opinion is the potentialy security holes in the OS.

Speaking about those security holes - Apple lets them in all the time

"Apple has now been affected by the worst security snafu in iOS history when it found that hundreds of apps, mostly in the Chinese App Store, have malicious code in them, called “XcodeGhost.”"

I never had an iPhone prior to the 6s...what do you reckon is a good price for a clean condition ip5 16gb with a fair battery?

Used of course...no way would I buy a new one for that price.

Surprised that they still hold respectable value for a 4 yr old phone...

posted the wrong link - try this again

really strange because the link jumps to a different page than the one showing new @ $270

I would never buy a new 5 at this point...too much money for a 4 year tech device.

But what's a reasonable price for a used one?

Seems like there's a simple answer: you should buy it, if you want to buy it.
