Should I buy extra warranty for my camcorder?

Hello
I will soon be purchasing a Canon HF100 of Amazon
On the page in the related accessories section there is a extended warranty package
I have some questions about the warranty-

Does the HF100 come with warranty already?
Do I have to buy the extended warranty at the same time as I purchase the camcorder?
How will I activate the warranty?
Is it actually worth buying the extended warranty?

EDIT: After reading the terms and conditions of the warranty I have discovered that it does have to bought at the same time as the camcorder.

Sorry. Nobody bother posting on this thread. I have found the same camcorder for cheaper with a 2 year warranty free.
