So I want to buy iphone xs today, but we the new launch of Iphone 11 I dont know if the prices will drop, what can I do?

Yep, like stated above prices will drop once the new iPhone is released. Not to mention carriers and even retailers will offer incentives/deals on the XS series. You’ve waited this long, I’d wait a bit more. Who knows, you may even want the new model they announce tomorrow.

The question is if Apple will leave the XS in the lineup as a reduced model or if they abandon it completely like the X. A price reduced XS or XR seems to be the most interesting iPhone in the lineup because the new models are not worth the premium price in my eyes. If you want to spend premium money wait until 2020..

Just bought an XS Max yesterday for a few reasons. Keep in mind I only buy unlocked from Apple, no carrier phones.

1. If they discontinue the XS series like many think they will then I want to make sure I have one. Last year you couldn't find an X at the Apple stores by me directly after the XS event.

2. If they lower the price, Apple will refund the difference within 14 days.

3. If I decide I want the 11 I have 14 days to return the XS and use my X until I can get my hands on an 11.

1. Even though Apple did discontinue the X last year when XS was announced and X being taken off the apple.com, you could still get one from the Apple Store directly as they still would have had them in stock. Well at least the apple store near me stated that they can still sell the X at a discounted price and until the stock depletes or been instructed to send it back.

I'm going to guess that if Apple did discontinue the XS and XS Max line up after today's announcement, Apple Store will likely still sell them now at a discounted price and will continue to do so until they are instructed to send them back. But of course every Apple Store may do it differently.

They will likely abandon and discontinue the XS and XS Max line up and replace it with the todays announcement line up.

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but if I remember correctly, since the 6 or 6S, they kept the previous model in their line up and continued to sell them. So if the 6S was the flagship device, Apple did still sell the 6. Same when the 7 was announced and release, Apple still did sell the 6S in their line up, and even so when 8 came out, they still did sell the 6S then. I believe that the 6S was discontinued last year when Apple did announce the XS/XS Max/XR.

Welp my Apple store has pulled them today. They will sell refurbs only but claim they have no more new ones for sale.
