GLOSSY SUCKS! I have have had a Matte screen on my old MBP and it was replaced and i was given the glossy screen. Apple swapped it out for a Hi-Res Matte and I love it. I do photo editing and the colours are not washed out, as some claim. I think you would be better off with the Matte screen.

but what if i work indoors? but the window is quite close. will it cause problems? ive seen some photos of glossy and matte screens on google and glossy looks a way better. is it wrong?
also the design of glossy display with glass bigger than screen is better. :D just joking.
so are glossy colors not that better and matte is better(even indoors)?

Ofcourse the glossy is going to look better as the colours are more saturated on it. Just from coming from a Matte to a glossy, it was a nightmare. I am very happy i got my Matte screen back. You may have different experiences, but what do you have to lose going with a Matte? I mean you are getting a laptop, no way it is going to be in once place all the time ;)

Here is a site that shows the difference.. site

yeah I wouldn't do the 8GB upgrade through Apple. There are 2 slots of RAM. I have the G-Skill and it is perfect, as most RAM you will buy. You will need 10666/10600 1333 MHZ DDR3 RAM. Newegg doesn't ship international, but Amazon states that they do. The RAM (they have like Kingston, Corsair, Crucial) are all pretty much the same price ($85-$96).

thanks to evrybody who helped me, i bought macbook pro 17" today. ITS AWESOME! now, i need to replace 4gb with 8gb. what shoud i buy on ebay or amazon? i this one http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-DDR3-L...1678344&sr=8-1 is ok?
also why is acivity monitor shows just one "line" of processor % it has 4 cores, right? my previous computer showd two lines.
and about the touchpad, how can i make the cursor move when my finger reaches the end of it? i mean if im dragging something, and touchpad is too small to reach the place where i need to drop it.

year! a perfect computer. im in love with air pulling out usb and other ports instead of special holes!
but i havnt ended my move to the new comp, i need to buy a stand, memory and transfer my angry birds saved files from my hackintosh :D where are they located, i wonder?..

It sounds like you have your decision narrowed down to which screen you would want. As this option is 100% consumer-based i would reccommend getting the Glossy, its makes video look better and is all around more appealing to the eye, IMHO. Since glare is not an issue for you the Glossy would be your best choice.

I have the glossy in my maxed out 15" and love it. I use it at school all the time and with the battery so large i can use it at 100 brightness and battery still lasts all day. Love it!!!!!!!

hold the button with one finger and drag the next one then pick up the finger that isnt clicked down on the trackpad and drag it again. as long as you have the one finger clicked down on the pad you can lift the other finger to the top and slide it over and over again

It only shows one line of processor percentage because if it showed all logical cores it would have to display 8 lines due to two threads running per core.

iMacProthanks, but i bought it already and i see that glossy is very good too. and thanks for that tip about the touchpad. its not very comforteble but at least something.
supererica, i got already. but what line of percentage is? what core is it? or does i shows overall percentage of all cores??
also, 17" is a little heavy, but i use it on table so its not a trouble. its also very hot when it stands on knees. and i have to make fans speed faster with 3rd party apps. and than its ok. i still dont hear it. anyway using it on knees was just an experiment. i wont use it like this.
exploring it is much fun! im excited!

System Prefs >trackpad > you can make the three fingers move windows without clicking at all1

im not about moving windows, im about moving objects. you know, a new laptop - a lot of programms to install. a lot of them are in .dmg format. so you need to move an app to applications folder, not window.
