I'm still a Junior is High School so I wouldn't be getting any deals. Is it still worth it? I need Word.

Make sure you have this book to learn it, as MS doesn't really have anything in depth with the package.
As for a new Mac Office version, I wouldn't expect one till around summer-fall 2007. Reason for my conclusion is Office 12 (codename) for Windows, the upcoming version to replace the current Office 2003 for Windows, will be released around the end of the year (supposdly December) to coincide with Windows Vista. Although developed relativly independently, Microsoft usually likes to release a new Office version for Mac around six-nine months after the Windows release. That's why🙂
