Hey. new here!

I don't know which to choose... the leather case or silicone?
I tried many cases from Ebay. slim tpu, Transparent/ clear, etc. Did not really like them.

Then I saw in the store the apple case, looks very luxury and thin? (BUT can't check it cause it's in a sealed box and can't open) .

What Do you prefer? I don't want to be disappointed . it's expensive case here.

Thanks in advance for helpers...

It truly all depends on your preferences.

I've been through a bunch of cases and both the Apple cases were my favorites.

Both are designed to fit the iPhones like gloves and compliment the rounded lines of the phone. Both have the bottoms open.

Silicone - lightweight but heavier than the leather. Good grip but collects dust and lint. Overall great quality out of the box but bottom inside edges can peel if you don't take the case off carefully. Flexing the bottom corners can cause the silicone to separate from the plastic case underneath.

Leather - lighter and thinner than the silicone case and feels great in the hand. For me quality out of the box was terrible. I opened 4 boxes at the Apple Store to find one that I was satisfied with. Then the leather is fragile. I had indents from using in a flipbelt and then scuffs and peeling inside edges from putting the case on and taking it off. Case is probably fine if you put it on and leave it alone. Then you also should be careful not to get the leather wet as it will bubble up - others have reported this.

I preferred the Apple cases but couldn't deal with the problems. I still have them sitting in a drawer. I've moved on.

I actually have the leather and really do like it. Issue is, it offers no protection at all. I just recently took it off after a bad fall.

Don't make the mistake I did and when looking at both the leather and silicone cases was look at the red leather one as it has a cheaper feel and looks different to the other colours I have now(navy, brown and black) but I also like the silicone ones from time to time. Plus all the silicone ones feel the same and you get better range of colours.

I think i'll get or the leather midnight blue (maybe the black), or the white silicone.

not sure if the leather or the silicone (I heard that the silicone attracts fiber and lint)
and also feel like a "cream" texture after a while

Midnight blue

I have a black (gray) silicone still sealed in box for the 6 plus. I got it as a gift and don't want it. I would be willing to sell/trade it. If interested let me know

If interested, let me know if you would be interested in a trade or purchase. If trade, let me know what you have thats new

My personal preference is the black or navy blue leather options as they wear well. I've had my black leather case on my 6 since the launch and my black leather case on my 5s since that launch. Both have held up very well, have worn beautifully.

Scratches and tears on it show up after a while, especially if you drop it on concrete. I've found these can be smoothed off just by rubbing them for a bit. Apple will warranty the case for a year so hold onto the receipt in your e-mail, they'll swap it out for you if you feel it's wearing prematurely.

Someone above mentioned that it's not all that protective if you drop it, this is quite true. I have a Zagg Invisibleshield GLASS screen protector (About $14 on Amazon) to compliment the case. Great way to keep it thin and protected in my opinion, mine has seen a few nasty drops since September and the phone has been fine! If you can stand the rubbery feel of it, though, the Tech21 cases offer a little bit more protection around the edges and may prevent the screen from cracking a little bit more when paired with the glass screen protector.

So I want to the store, I debated between black and navy blue, then I tought to buy the white silicone.
The manager store really excited about the leather, and the "feel" of it, showed me the case on her phone (black).
she said that some people dont like the silicone casuse it's feels like it's have a hand cream on the case...(?)
and collect fibers.
I purchased the leather cover.

Totally a matter of personal preference. They both have their pros and cons. I like them both but have moved on as I've found cases that work better for me.

I agree. I am actually using he Otterbox Symmetry in black now. Very tight feel, good protection, and no silly hole in he back or obnoxious branding.

I have the red silicone but I don't really like it. It gets really warm after holding it for a little bit, also it's not very clean cut around the edges.

The Apple Stores I have been to, they have both leather and silicone on a table out in the open for customers to try out.
