Hi

On Tuesday I ordered a Series 6 SS Graphite. Scheduled Delivery 9/25-9/30. It is still on processing. I paid with my Apple Card. Should I cancel the order? Should I reorder?

I am reluctant to go to the Apple Store b/c if the pandemic, although they have the watch.

Why are you asking if you should cancel? From what I have read, there is no inherent problem with the watch. The biggest issue is people trying to decide if they really want to upgrade their previous model.

I would get it from the store, if I had the opportunity. You should be in and out in less than 20 minutes I would think. Wear a mask, create an order for in store pickup, and you should be fine.

I’m confused. You want to know if you should cancel your order because you’re afraid to pick it up? You can have it delivered to your house.

Edit: You’re asking if you should cancel the delivery and go pick it up? Do you stay home and never go out to stores now? Are you or others in your home high risk? Only you know that.

I am not wondering if I should cancel the order b/c of a problem with the watch. The order has not moved from processing to preparing to ship, even though I ordered within a half an hour of the event. Could something have happened with the system to have my order “stalled”? Would I be better to cancel the order and place a new order? I tried calling Apple and the support person had no idea.

Thanks for the clarification. If you ordered a SS model with one of the new bands, those come from China and several people who ordered said model just had movement on their watch late yesterday. So, there has been a little bit of a delay.

As earlier posted, I would go the store route. If that is absolutely out of the question for you, keep your order. I would not create a new one. However, you could check the Apple site and see what the estimated time would be for your model with a standard band, if that is in fact part of the equation.

@BasicGreatGuy, it was ordered with the Milanese Loop.

If your Apple store is like mine they are more stric than my local hospital. Ordered wife new iPad and picked up at store. Tent set up outside for 3 customers, 2 security guards you picked time and your equipment was there. Took our temp etc.

I went to my local store before it got shut down a second time, and I had to get my temp taken and was not allowed inside the store for pickup, which didn’t bother me. It was very regulated. My store is inside a mall so, I can’t even get curb side.

My watch is set to ship Sept 22-24 and it’s still processing. ship dates are out to October now.

I placed an online order which finally shipped yesterday, but I ended placing an oder the day of launch and picking it up from the apple store. Got exactly what I wanted, including the band. The pick up was done in less than 5 mins outside the store(in King of Prussia Mall, PA). Placed the order, got the time slot, headed to the store, they had 5 or 6 people outside, scanned my pick up QR code and checked id, asked to wait there and someone brought my watch out in less than 5 mins.

I think the issue is the new bands. I ordered the gold SS with the brown leather link about 45 minutes after the store opened, and I know people have gotten gold SS already, but I'm showing Oct 2-7 :-( Also haven't seen live pictures of the leather links. My guess is that there's a shortage of some of the fancier bands.

I continue to remain worried about my order (graphite and graphite ML). Ordered 9/15. Order still in processing. Does anyone else have this same issue?

Thanks

Well my SS gold with Milanese 44 is a ship by 10/26. I’m okay with that. Have my series 4 for the time being

you see. All we need is a little patience

I have a question. They charged the entire amount on my Apple Card. How then does the monthly interest free payments come into play?

Thanks for everyone’s support.

I’m not sure about that one. Maybe it’s a temporary hold. Wish I had a Apple Card lol. Did u choose monthly or full payment

I chose monthly, but the whole process was rather unclear as to what actually went though. Can I call up the Apple Card assistance and change after the fact if need be?

If you chose monthly you should have seen just the taxes charged, as that’s what happened with both of my orders set to monthly on my Apple Card.

I’d say wait it out and if you receive the watch before seeing that charge reversed just return it to a store within the return period and see if you can purchase one there. Supply should be replenished by then.

I would rather not go to the store during the pandemic.
