Should I charge it before first use?

Despite the fact that my brain knows it makes absolutely zero difference, I pretty much always give any device with rechargeable batteries a full 24 hour charge period before I disconnect the charger. I'll still use it, but it won't come off charge for 24 hours.

I think it's ingrained in my head from the day of Ni-Cad batteries. I know it's irrelevant, I know I don't need to but I just can't stop doing it, damnit!

My opinion would be to just open the box and use it, charge as required. No reason to overthink this.

I've always put on the charger, out of the box and topped it off with a full juice-up.
