Eddy Munn macrumors 6502 Jul 29, 2013 #4 I personally am only going to clean install the GM. To do a clean install, plug it into iTunes and use the download in the developer portal.

That should be Shift (or option on mac) + click "Restore" not update. Update will just update the software, restore would be a clean install

Armen macrumors 604 Jul 29, 2013 #8 I'm going to do a clean install when I get home from work. For now I just did a few "reset all settings" "reset all network settings" after the OTA.

B bbfc macrumors 68040 Jul 29, 2013 #9 You can only install it as new (restore) if you are a registered developer, otherwise it will not work. If you are not a developer then you can update only. ---------- batting1000 said: Download the .ipsw from the dev center and shift + click update and choose the file. Click to expand... That's the method to update, not clean install.
