should i do an automatic restore in itunes for jailbroken 2g before running pwnage

so I have a jailbroken 2g 2.2 iphone, should I restore it in itunes--like just click restore and let it do its magic, and then run through the new pwnagetoll 3.0 tutorial, or it doesn't matter? What do you experts recommend?
