I am getting so GD frustrated bc i still cant sync my old ipod touch to itunes 8. If i cant sync the old one then i cant sync my new shiny 32gb ipod touch that's collecting dust in my closet . I tried everything and nothing works. I even updated my whole computer last night and nothing. Itunes been working great for 3 years for me , now this its bull****. I don't know if best buy geeks on wheels or circuit city firefox would help me with this problem but im thinking about calling them to come check it out anyways. Does anyone know what service pack i should be on? I just updated to service pack 3 last night and still the same problem. They even have a updated itunes 8 out but i get the same problem. O and on number 4 it said Important: Do not use the iTunes8Setup or iTunes864Setup file you previously downloaded. So what should i do? delete itunes8setup? Any help i would really appreciate it. Thanks

Did you follow the steps in your previous thread about restarting the "Apple Mobile Device" service?

EDIT: Nevermind, read your reply in your other thread. You said restarting the service didn't work, but you didn't say whether it was started or not.

My sync was slow as hell! 6 hours for 200MB of audio and video.

AppleCare call - restore the iPod software in iTunes.
Done.
Done.
and Perfect.

You will have to uninstall iTunes 8 first. Uninstalling won't touch your music library. But you do have a backup anyway, don't you?

Edit: and uninstall QuickTime too, just to be sure.

Screaming on the top of my lungs!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I UnInstalled:
Apple Mobile Device Support
Apple Software Update
Bonjour
iTunes

Well just got done uninstalling and reinstalling and..........Nothing. Im so effin pissed right now its not even funny. Maybe i should unistall 8 and reinstall itunes 7. O and every time i hook my touch to the computer the adobe photo shop and the apple ipod camera connector pops up. So it has to do with itunes 8 not the drivers. Should i call? Should i download itunes 7 again?

have you restored the ipod touch?
i don't have windows, and i have an iPhone,i've been having some problems with it so even after restoring it,for some library problems my iTunes would kinda crash influencing the whole system,I had to cancel the library and afterwards copy all the songs slowly back into iTunes..
PS restoring your ipod cancels all your data on the iPod,in order to sync it back again with your library..

Did you uninstall 8 and reboot the computer before trying to install 7?

Yup then i deleted it and downloaded 8 again and the same dang message popped up. I thought they updated 8 with the old drivers? Maybe i have to wait for itunes 9 . Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
