Sounds frustrating. Please keep us updated. I'm horrified to read these experiences, with all these people having to have their keyboards repaired not just once, twice, but some even three or more times. Hopefully, this is just the odd defect, and you won't experience any more problems here on out. Fingers crossed.

One hour in, all is well... Sadly this feels like a victory for me at this point...

Anyone know if there is a way to force the TB to always show the FN keys? I know I can hit the FN key to do so but I'd rather they just be displayed 24/7..

system preferences -> keyboard there is a "touch bar shows" dropdown that lets you select function keys.
