Air Canada gives free drinks (beer and wine) on all international flights. I flew to the UK last summer and got smashed off about 4 or 5 cups of wine.

First and only time I've been able to sleep on a flight.

Drinking at high altitude means getting drunker on far less alcohol.

What a freaking rip off! I live in the good ol' Mile High city, and I still have to slam almost a liter of vodka before I could be considered drunk. Boo. I'm switching to Everclear and Bacardi 151 for good.

Back to the topic... I plan on getting absolutely ripped on my flights to and from London next month. British Airways international, 12 hours non-stop, complimentary bar service... My kind of airline ;)

Duff-Man says...I generally don't like to drink too much when I fly....on an overseas flight I will have a couple glasses of wine with the meal, take half a pill and zonk out for most of the flight....if you drink too much you'll get dehydrated and depending on your personality potentially in trouble...oh yeah!

Duff-man not drinking much? having only a couple of glasses of wine and not Duff?

oh no!

;)

Just an FYI after flying Independence Airlines (FlyI), don't plan on getting drunk on the run to Chicago. I am guessing their CRJ service is alcohol free.

BTW - FlyI - a great airline! The most legroom in coach than I have had in awhile (so glad that I did not have to get into the fetal position to fit into my seat. Friendly staff, easy boarding on a 50 seat jet.

if your flight is 4+ hours.. go ahead. i just got back from syria (from los angeles. it was 11 hours to amsterdam, 5 hours in schipol, and 5 1/2 hours to damascus..) i was tipsy before the plane even took off.. 11 gin and tonics, 4 scotch and cokes, 3 huge cups of cognac, and 4 cups of baileys (the cute french girl next to me liked baileys... and the stewardess was a pro drink mixer)..... and that was just from LAX to schipol.. i have to admit it was the best flight of my life. if its a short flight and you're alone you may regret it.. people tend to forget certain important things when their under the influence.

o_O You need to slow that down. I'd be dead trying to drink all that. Your liver is going to die.
