This is some silly question, but anyway, my wife is going to give me this week an iPhone 6 (for my birthday) as mine has been broken for a week now. (love you babe).

Question is, Iphone 6 or Iphone 6 plus? My last phone had 6" screnie, and it was reaaaaally sooooo big, but yesterday I move to an Apple Store, and watch the plus device by mself. It wasn't that bad tbh, but ofc it's still a big device.

I have small hands, and 6" was so uncomfortable. What should I do? Which Iphone have better performance? (no lag, etc..) It's worth the plus just for internet, sporadic gaming, youtube videos and social media? Money it's not the problem but the size and comfort in my hands it is. 4,7 device it's pretty, but plus have more resolution, optical stabilization... tbh I don't know!

I really need a new phone for work/fun, so I can't wait to 6s or whatever is callied, avoid that answer for me.

Ty!

I think you may be better off with the iPhone 6 rather then the plus. It sounds like you're trying to convince yourself for the 6+, even after realizing the phablet sized phone you had before was just too big.

Well, I am surprised how much I like my 6+. I've had a 4 and 5, and the first time I held a 6+ I honestly laughed at the size difference. Six months later, I bought one for myself. I actually 'use' it much more than I've 'used' any previous iPhone. The only negative is that I cannot slide it into a sport jacket pocket. I have to stand it up in the pocket because the pocket itself isn't wide enough.

I bought the 6+ thinking I'd use it 13 days and then return it for a 6. I haven't looked back.

Go with the 6+, the regular 6 is still too big to use with one hand so you might as well have the larger screen.

6 plus 100%. My galaxy s5 looks like a small toy now. Totally manageable with one hand, fantastic battery, better resolution and camera.

I am in your situation where as I have small hands. What I did was went to the Apple Store and played with both for a while. I ended up going with the 6. It fit better in my hand. I get great battery life, but I am not a heavy user, just average. Can go all day and still have battery life. Never lags. Never have a problem getting it in my pockets. Saved a little money, but that was not an issue as I can easily afford the Plus if I wanted.

Have not regretted my decision since making the choice to go with the 6. Have seen many people out there with the 6 Plus since and have always thought I am glad to have 6 as the Plus just looks and seems so big in their hands. Others will see the Plus as the better decision. I just wanted to give you an opinion on the 6 side of things.

If you felt the 6+ was still kind of big, how did you feel about the 6? Despite of what people said here, most people find the 6 more suitable than the 6+.

This was how I decided on the plus also. I started with the regular 6 and kept trying to use it one handed and finding it just a little too big to do so. Once I came to that conclusion, I switched to the plus figuring I might as well enjoy the benefit of having a bigger screen. At the end of the day though, it's really a personal choice. The slightly higher screen resolution and optical image stabilization aren't good enough reasons to get the plus if you can't hold it comfortably.

This might be a stupid question, but could you go to an Apple store or a carrier store and use both for a few minutes? I feel like that would give you a better sense of which phone would be better for you than listening to half of us say the plus is better while the other half say the regular 6 is better.

In his original post he said he went to a store and at least looked at the 6+, not sure if he tried both or not. From what he said I think the 6+ will be the best for the OP mostly for the reasons I said in my last post, and the the OP said it wasn't too bad when he tried it.

go with the 6 for sure. i was SUPER excited about the 6+ bc of its size but it is simply too large. other companies have fit a larger screen into a smaller profile but apple decided to have huge bezels. but more importantly, i have constant lag issues on my 6+. it does not have enough ram for the amonut of pixels it has. wait until the 6s+ comes out, or go with the regular 6. it is a much fast phone, trust me

iphone 6 is already big enough. I think they are both really nice. i have an iphone 6 and I am contented with it because just like you, I have small hands :). always go for where/what you're comfortable having with. all the best!

I initially thought that the 6+ was going to be too big, but I got used to it over a week or so, such that now it feels completely normal. I use my old iPhone 4 as an iPod in the car and when I pick it up, it feels so minuscule that I always wonder how I could ever use something so small. It is all about perspective, the brain is wonderfully adaptive.

Go with the iPhone 6. I had the 6+ for months and eventually got tired of the size and sold it for the 6. I have small hands and can text with one hand on the iPhone 6. IMO, the iPhone 6 is the ideal size for me.

The 6s is coming out in a few weeks, just FYI
Source for that announcement? Apple has been on a fall release of their phones for quite some time. There's no evidence to my knowledge that they'll suddenly change it to the dead of summer when absolutely no one is buying a phone and when 5s owners are still locked into their contacts.

Generally, I do find bigger phones (phablets) to be much more convenient for media consumption. I don't find the handling of phablets to be uncomfortable either. I do have large hands, however, despite being female. For media, I use my Sony Xperia Z Ultra, which is considerably larger than the 6 Plus. For mere classic phone functionality I do prefer the smaller sized phones and still use my iPhone 4S.

If you say that you find the size of the iPhone 6 uncomfortable, then surely the 6 Plus should be ruled out entirely.

I have both and I love the display and battery life of the 6 plus, but much prefer how manageable the size of the 6 is. If I had to choose one, it would be the 6. They are both great devices and at the end of the day, you are the one that has to be happy with the decision.

get the 6+, so far I've only heard people regretting not getting the + with the 6 and not the other way around.

I'm sure he meant few months, not weeks!

How could someone really recommend a size of something? The phones are basically the same (short of a few differences which seem to be mostly moot given the nature of the question). So it's basically down to size--no matter what others might think as far as how good one is vs. the other it means basically nothing as far as how the particular size will actually feel and work (in the short or long run) for each individual.
