I would be using the laptop for things like Photoshop, Illustrator a bit of movie editing and app development. Which one do you think I should get considering the 15 is £500 more and I could afford the 13" 2.4 now or wait about a month to get the 15" i5 2.4? Also the higher resolution of the 15" doesn't really bother me but the portability of the 13" is nice.

13" seems to be just fine for you if the resolution ain't that big deal. 13" offers enough power as well

I would say go with the 13" unless you want the latest tech then go with i5
in speed it wont be that much of a difference go with the 13" then add a ssd drive you will still save money too then the i5 but it all depends if you want the screen 15in or 13in i have a 13in 2.26ghz 4gb ram 500gb hard drive will be upgrading the hard drive to ssd soon

Compromise, get a refurbished 15" I love my 13" but I like my son's 15" MBP better. I bought the 13" MBP for size and it's not for editing video just office work...

I have a 17" HP, 15" Dell and a 13" MBP. And I love the portability of the 13 the most!

I was in a very similar spot, I went with the i5, at the end of the day, I wanted the new CPU. And the higher screen resolution is nice as well. I wish the form factor could have been a 13'' laptop, but the 15'' is too far ahead in regards to specs.
