Should I leave note for FedEx driver with my cell number?

We have an electric gate for our community, there's a side door that's normally locked, I'll make sure it's unlocked throughout the day today. I'm thinking about leave a note for driver to call my cell if my neighbor locks it, but I'm also worry that'd attract attention from thieves as they know precious packages r coming.

There is no protocols, postal office knows where we hide the spare key for the side door, but it' normally hit or miss with ups and FedEx drivers.
