Hello. I'm new here and could use some help. I just bought a 1TB external hard drive to back up my computer. Here's what I'd like to do... 1) I'd like to use part of it for Time Machine backups and also 2) have a full bootable backup of my computer by SuperDuper. I saw someone on Youtube doing this and they partitioned the drive. Do I have to partition it in order to have two separate areas...one for the TM backups and one for the SuperDuper backup? Or, should I not partition?

Thanks!

Time Machine eats up a whole partition just for itself, so you'll need more than one.
