I currently own a unibody MBP 2.53Mhz model from late 2008.

All was going fine until it recently started suffering from screen flickering. My local Apple Store replaced the Display under the Applecare warranty.

2 days after this was done the flickering started again.

This time they replaced the display again and also the logic board.

A few days after I got it back the screen started to show light bleeding around the edges, ie White Fringing.

I've taken it back in and they have kept hold of it to replace the display again and maybe another logic board if required.

Given the issues above, should I push for a new unit and has anyone had experiences in doing so and where should I start ?

Thanks...

You may be able to push for a replacement, but it does entirely depend on the Genius you have an appointment with. There does seem to be an 'unwritten' rule with Geniuses that after 3 attempts to fix the problem a new machine may be given.
