I would get $705.00 but wondering if it worth it to go from M4 to M5? What is diffrent? Does it have USB speed upgrade or Thunderbolt upgrade?

It's (almost) never "Worth it" to upgrade a single version.
If you WANT to, that's fine. Otherwise only if the old computer isn't suiting your needs (e.g. get more RAM, storage, bigger screen, etc)

Any upgrade would be academic and would not really translate into a genuine user noticed difference. That being said, that kind of thing has never stopped me from upgrading if I had a real mind to.

No, generally not worth it for 1 generation unless you are finding the M4 isn’t cutting it for your workload in which case you might want to go for something with at least an M4 Pro/M5 Pro instead.
I can't believe someone would even be thinking about upgrading an Apple Silicon Mac after one year, even after 5 years the M4 will still be fine for any Task that an Air is designed for. Save your money and buy an awesome External Monitor or something else useful.
I see no reason to upgrade from the M4 Air to the M5 Air. I too have the 15" M4 Air. It is a wonderful computer and will last for many years to come.
On paper M5 will be faster than M4, SSD speeds will be better but on day to day usage, not going to notice any difference. In fact, upgrading from M3 or even M2, one is not likely to notice any difference.

My reason I would like to upgrade the Air to M5 is for WiFi 7. Also better USB/Thunderbolt speeds.
