Should I turn off my ipad when not using it?

Should I turn off the device when i am not using it for a long period of time--like over night?

It should be charging @ night. It takes a few hours to fully charge.

I tuck my iPad in at night on her charging dock....and then she's ready to go the next day. During the day if I'm going out and about I do put her into sleep mode (as opposed to full shut-off mode) until I am ready to use her again.

I never turned off my iPhones for years lol only when a hard reset was needed.

I've noticed the iPad's battery to drain relatively quickly while in sleep mode. I am very impressed with its battery life though!

I haven't seen that happen on mine. You must have push notifications turned on?

Haven't noticed that. Haven't charged mine nor turned mine off in two days and it's still at 56%. Amazing battery life

It's a 12 hour battery playing movies back to back.
You don't have to turn it off.
It's not that serious.
