I just realized my girlfriends 08 IMac only has 1 gb of ram.

Should I buy her this:
http://www.datamemorysystems.com/_memory-information/4GB_SODIMM_194e_x_2.asp

seems like the best price.

Should I get the 4gb of ram total or do you think 2gb total would be fine, she watches movies and plays free little games.

ps. I have to force quit out of fire fox all the time, will this help

Adding the extra RAM is the best decision you can do. As long as the ram doesn't cost too much, then I would say go for it. Not having enough RAM is pain especially when you have several programs running.

You should do it. Adding RAM is the easiest way to make your computing experience much more pleasurable

Using a current version of OSX on 1gb is a pain for doing almost anything. I agree that you should upgrade it. 4gb should be plenty.
