Should I update my iPhone 4S 16GB to iOS 8

i have iphone 4s 16 Gb running on ios 7 , till now i have not installed the latest version ios8 . i have read the reviews on twitter and facebook and found lot of complaints about error like glitches, show , app crash etc so i am preety much scared , so i want to ask users and experts that is it true ? or not? and one more thing after the installation will my apps remain as it is or erased? hope to see the answers

You've answered your own question. Wait for the update. There's so many bugs on the 5/6 models so you'll probably get a few problems. The 4S complaints are that of slowness.... so personally, I wouldn't.
