So I'm going back and forth between upgrading my 15 pro to a 16 pro or upgrading my series 4 watch to a series 10.

The only thing stopping me is that I can afford the monthly IUP, but can't afford to just outright buy the Series 10. However, in the long run - it makes the most sense given that the upgrades between phones are so minor.

Small side note: This would be from a 42mm stainless to a 46mm polished titanium.

Those that have made big jumps like this one - what are the main pros you've noticed? Are you finding yourself wearing your watch more? Any cons?

I also have an IPhone 15 Pro and a S4 SS watch. My phone still works great, so I went with the watch, which desperately needed help. My battery was at 67%, and it kept telling me it was full even though it wasn’t. Once I learned that S4 watches would no longer receive major updates, my decision was finalized.

My decision was easy. I received my 10 watch about two hours ago, and it looks great.

Wishing you luck in your decision!

I have just upgraded from a S4 SS to a jet black S10.

So far, it’s a great update….

… but, it’s still basically the same watch. Ignore the thinness and weight - neither are of any significance. The larger screen is lovely though, as is the improved speed. Other than that, it’s exactly as you would expect.

Upgraded from 40mm S4 Space Gray to 46mm S10 Jet Black.

Its great. At the time 40mm was a bit too small for me but still kept it. I wondered how 46mm would look in my 17cm wrist. Now I can say that I really like it. Bigger screen is awesome for apps like Workoutdoors, you see map and exercise stats easier.

Always on display is also great and makes Apple Watch feel more like a real watch.
Very solid upgrade. After 6 years that was expected.

Upgrading from series 4 will be better than upgrading your iPhone. Very minor changes from 15 Pro to 16 Pro, except that the 16 Pro is getting 5x zoom.

Got an iPhone 14 Pro and the only real improvement compared to 16 Pro is the larger battery capacity. That’s why I didn’t even consider upgrading my phone. On the other hand I had a 44mm Series 4 and went with 42mm Series 10. I really appreciate the smaller form factor (got 155mm wrists) and reduced weight. It’s also so much snappier and the screen is phenomenal. Also, Double Tap is a killer feature. So definitely go with the new watch.
