My response from an earlier thread on if one was happy with iOS 10:

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Certain things I like:
  • New Maps interface
  • Able to send multiple iMessage outside of Messages app
  • Raise to wake w/ rest finger to unlock
  • Ability to 'delete' stock apps
While others I dislike:
  • No more Maps 3D shortcut to go home
  • Messages battery drain
  • HUGE emojis
  • Control Center removing volume / music on main slide
  • Apple stripping the ability to view battery information such as charge cycles for no real reason
Might end up going back to iOS 9.3.5 while they are still signing it, not sure yet...

Personally, I find iOS 10 to be a step backwards in a number of ways (lock screen, notifications, control center, quick reply), so I am on iOS 9 and will stay there on my SE. But, if performance is your concern, you'll be totally fine on 10. No real difference.

The battery dropping multiple percentages in a few minutes of light usage on a DFU clean install setup as new with no apps installed.

There's 30+ pages of people complaining about how bad the battery is on 10.

Do this on 10:

There are long threads about battery and all kinds of other complaints about almost any iOS version, it doesn't mean that by far even the majority, let alone most everyone, is experiencing them.
