Hi,

I was wondering if I should upgrade to iLife '08?

The main reason I want to, is that I need the Time Machine compatibility in iPhoto.

Is iLife '08 a good upgrade? Should I upgrade?

Thanks.

If you need a feature than it's always a good upgrade I guess, but I think the iPhoto upgrade in iLife '08 was pretty good and you'd be silly not to say it's a good reason to upgrade too.

Yes, I really like the iPhoto that's in iLife '08.

It was a little sluggish when it first came out, but a few recent updates have REALLY tweaked it up. It runs beautifully now (I'm using it on a G4 right now, I can't imagine it on an Intel duo).

I like both IPhoto 08 and IDVD, but I'm not a fan of the new IMovie. I am using IMovie 06. My opinion is it's worth upgrading.....just hold on to the previous version of IMovie as it provides more control.

Hi,

I read somewhere that Apple are offering iMovie HD 6 as a free download for users of iLife '08.

Is this correct?

Thanks.

The ability to group photos into Events is fantastic. It's worth paying the purchase price for that feature alone.

Go for it.
